All models use the same mold, which means that all Exceed models share the same core design features and frame shaping. The three different carbon frame platforms (CF, SLX, and CFR) differ, however, in material content and layup.
With the new CFR we went further than ever before on a mountain bike and achieved an incredibly low weight, making it our lightest hardtail frame to date and definitely one of the lightest frames on the market.
-
-
-
The maximum tire size we’d recommend would be a 2.35/2.4 tire mounted to a rim with an internal width of 30mm rim. Tire sizes, of course, vary from one tire manufacturer to another, so we always recommend that riders double check tire clearance immediately after installing their new rear tire.

CFR stands for Canyon Factory Racing and it stands for two things: the purpose of the bike - this is the machine that the Canyon Factory riders are racing - and also the caliber of the frame. Canyon CFR frames feature the lightest and best possible carbon construction for a given style of riding - in this case, downhill racing.
-
-
-
We do not plan, at present, to offer the SENDER CFR as a frame-only option

If you can only have one mountain bike in your garage, the Spectral 29 is that bike. It’s a solid, do-it-all kind of trail bike. It’s both an efficient climber and a very capable descender, with plenty of travel to bail you out of trouble.
-
-
-
Spectral 27.5 models feature 150-160mm of front and 150mm of rear suspension.
-
-
-
27.5-inch wheels have several benefits. All things being equal, 27.5 wheels tend to be lighter than 29-inch wheels, since there is simply less spoke and rim material required. Again, all other wheel components being equal, 27.5 wheels can be stronger at a given weight than their bigger 29er counterparts. It's also easier to build shorter wheelbase bikes with the smaller 27.5 wheels. Not surprisingly, riders who prioritize agility and are looking for the most responsive and “flickable” bike possible are best served with a Spectral 27.5.
-
-
-
No. We don't recommend it. First off, it would compromise the bike's performance. Second, you'd need to also buy a 29er-compatible suspension fork to ensure that you have sufficient fork-to-tire clearance. That's a spendy proposition, particularly when the end result is less-than-ideal geometry.
-
-
-
We offer Spectral 29 models in two different suspension configurations: Fox-equipped bikes with 160F/150R travel and RockShox-equipped models with 150F/150R travel.
-
-
-
The Spectral 27.5 is an impressively versatile trail bike. It’s both a quick climber and a very capable descender, with plenty of travel to bail you out of trouble.
-
-
-
At this time, the Spectral 29 is strictly available as a full carbon bike (front and rear triangles).
-
-
-
No. Doing so would severely compromise its performance.
-
-
-
The larger wheelsize delivers improved roll over, greater traction from the tires’ larger footprint, and greater rider confidence at speed thanks to increased centrifugal stability and a longer wheelbase. If you are looking for the most playful and nimble ride quality possible, check out the Spectral 27.5 models.
