A female pioneer in freeriding
Feeling constrained by the competitive racing scene, Samantha sought a new challenge that aligned more with her adventurous spirit. That’s where she found freeride mountain biking. But being thrown in the freeride space has also been a humbling experience. Samantha was unaware of the importance and significance of digging and building features. And after heading to her inaugural Red Bull Formation freeride event in Utah, USA, as well as witnessing the spectacle that is Rampage, she was inspired to build her own line, from scratch.
In a sport traditionally dominated by men, her fearless approach and willingness to tackle some of the most dangerous terrains have not only earned her a spot among the elite but have also inspired a new generation of female riders. Her contributions extend beyond her personal achievements—she actively works to foster a supportive community for women in the sport through camps and ride days, breaking down barriers and encouraging more participation. She is looking forward to being able to continue to progress not just as a rider, but as a builder as well.
