PACE is modular

Our new Performance Adaptive Cockpit Ecosystem (PACE) system is modular: the T-bar works with interchangeable drops, which can be swapped in or out without even having to re-bleed your brakes. The inclusion of our proprietary Gear Groove innovation means that you can also mix and match a host of cockpit accessories too: bike computers, aero extensions, and more.

Balanced, modern geometry

Classic Drops

Slightly narrower than on the last Aeroad, our Classic Drops (which come as standard with the bike) work with the new cockpit to deliver perfect speed and balance. Improved spacer aerodynamics offer 20 mm height adjustment and width can be altered by 25 mm in or out.

Aero Drops

An optional extra, the Aero Drops bring you into a more aggressive position that can save you up to 14 watts extra while riding. Designed for racing off the front, the flared out drops also enable great handling.

Aero Extension

Inspired by our Speedmax platform and developed with our pro riders, these aero and ergo extensions allow for an aggressive but comfortable position. Individually adjustable, they integrate perfectly with the new Aeroad cockpit, making them a great option for riders competing in triathlon, or ultra-racing.

Get the drop on them

There is a noticeable difference in drop between the Classic and the Aero Drops. The classic measures 130 mm, delivering a proven modern race geometry that has won Paris-Roubaix and Milan-San Remo, each twice.

The new, optional Aero Drops measures 105 mm, meaning you don’t have to go too deep in the drops, improving comfort in an aerodynamic position. The flared out shape also helps provide an ergonomic, stable position on the bike.

Hands on the hoods

Our new Effective Stack and Reach tool for position on the bike takes the principal measurement point at the hoods, because this is where most riders place their hands when on the bike.

On the Aeroad, the Aero Drops increase the Effective Reach by 10 mm, allowing the rider to adopt a more aggressive and aerodynamic position.
