At Canyon, we decided to change that with the introduction of the Grand Canyon Young Hero. With all the same core features that make the Grand Canyon one of the best reviewed bikes in its class, this bike is a true high-performance machine for young adventurers.
No upgrades required
This is a bike that comes ready for off-road adventure—no upgrades required. With powerful hydraulic disc brakes, proven suspension, and lightweight wheels to transfer all your effort into speed, the Grand Canyon Young Hero is a top-notch bike that will give your child an unforgettable riding experience.
The future starts here
Made specifically for smaller riders
Whether your little one is just starting out or upgrading, the Grand Canyon Young Hero will give them a great platform to progress. A wide range 11 to 51 tooth cassette gives a young rider plenty of opportunities to develop essential skills. We've also specced the Grand Canyon with one of the most sensitive forks around – perfect for their smaller bodies.
Engineered for young heroes
The components we've specced may be smaller, but they're perfect for young hands, bodies and legs. With sizes for kids from 141 to 162 cm (4’ 7" to 5' 3") in puts them in control and there's also plenty of room to grow with a Grand Canyon Young Hero. All that’s left to do is to plan the next ride.

Bike classification
This category also covers the requirements of categories 1-2. In addition it includes use on harsher, unpaved terrain. The scope for these bikes includes occasional jumps up to a maximum height of 60 cm. Jumps of this scale can cause inexperienced riders to have accidents on landing, which can result in injury. Hardtail mountain bikes and full-suspension bikes with short travel are included in this category.
