Integrated frame protection

Our latest IPU – short for Impact Protection Unit – is perfectly integrated into the frame at the headset and protects the top tube from over-rotating handlebars in the event of a crash. The system doesn’t affect the bike’s manoeuvrability – you can still turn the bars far enough to nail the tightest switchbacks on the course.

A lightweight, aero, integrated seatpost clamp

Lighter and more aerodynamic than a traditional design – this integrated clamp grips the seatpost solidly, and has less area to collect mud, saving additional grams. Marginal gains for when every second counts.

Stay hydrated

Leave your hydration pack at home and stay hydrated on the longest races. All Exceed CF models have space for mounting two large bottles – even on the smallest bikes in size XS. There’s ample room in every frame size, although we do recommend Canyon Sideloader cages for maximum ease of access.

Bike classification

This category also covers the requirements of categories 1-2. In addition it includes use on harsher, unpaved terrain. The scope for these bikes includes occasional jumps up to a maximum height of 60 cm. Jumps of this scale can cause inexperienced riders to have accidents on landing, which can result in injury. Hardtail mountain bikes and full-suspension bikes with short travel are included in this category.
