Yes, in addition to the Precede:ON CF, the Commuter:ON, the FUTURE MOBILITY CONCEPT will also be exhibited in the Canyon Showroom in Koblenz from 01.09.2020.

At Canyon, we firmly believe that the future of our cities lies with new, clean forms of mobility: and we’re committed to contributing to their development. Currently, we are re-orienting ourselves in the area of City & Trekking bikes, and we will focus strongly on urban mobility in a broader sense in the future. In the coming years we will launch more urban bicycle solutions, but the implementation of other concepts like this will also be intensified. The concept gives us a vision that we want to work towards – quickly.

We offer service and repairs for Canyon e-bikes in Germany, Austria, Italy, France, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, and Portugal. We can only offer this service in these countries. If you have imported your e-bike into another country, we are not able to send spare parts or collect your bike due to shipping regulations out of our control. You can get information on our e-bike wearing parts service at the E-Bike Replacement Parts Service page.

Around 22/23 kg. Thanks to the extra power of the Bosch motor, the bike is still lightning-fast up climbs.

The registration of an e-bike return is particularly important, since the shipment must always be registered as a dangerous good. We instruct our service partner DHL Freight for you, so that your e-bike is picked up directly at your home and arrives safely at our premises.
How does returning e-bikes and batteries work?
In both cases, the return shipment is made via DHL Freight. Once you have registered your return, a DHL Freight representative will contact you by phone or email to arrange a date for collection. Please note that an exact time cannot be arranged. Usually, the pickup can be limited to the morning or afternoon. What do I have to send back?
Please return all products specified for return. If you have only specified the battery, please return only the battery properly. If you have specified the entire e-bike, please return the entire e-bike with all components. Please make sure that you include the key to the e-bike battery with the return.Do I have to pack my e-bike specially?
E-bikes with batteries are a class 9 hazardous material, so you need special packaging. Of course, you can return the e-bike in the original shipping carton, as this complies with the regulations. Please make sure that the battery is installed in the e-bike for shipping.Do I have to specially pack the e-bike battery?
The installed e-bike battery is a class 9 hazardous material, so you need special packaging. You can request this separate e-bike battery box from us. Alternatively, you can return the battery installed in your e-bike in the E-Bike Guard. This not only means less effort for you when packing, but also easier handling when returning the battery. In this case, the battery box is not needed. Should you decide to return the battery in the packaging, we will send you the appropriate packaging together with a new ADR cover letter in advance, which you must attach to the outside of the packaging. This is not necessary if the battery is returned installed on your e-bike.
Please let us know if your E-Bike Guard or battery box is damaged or no longer present. We will gladly send you a replacement. Can I return a defective e-bike battery?
Please note that severely damaged e-bike batteries cannot be returned under any circumstances. How do I notice that my e-bike battery is defective?
There are several ways that you can identify a damaged battery, for example:
– Damaged or significantly deformed housing
– Contact points on metal parts of the battery
– Parts of the plastic housing are melted
– Heating of the battery when switched off
– Battery leakage
– Batteries identified as defective by the battery management system (BMS)How can I dispose of my e-bike battery?
Please dispose of the battery properly if any of the above points apply. As proof we would like to ask you to take a photo of the battery with the serial number. This is located on the underside of the battery. You can usually return your defective battery to local recycling centers. Contact your local battery disposal facilities for further information. Often local hardware stores and e-bike dealers also offer the possibility to accept the batteries and dispose of them properly. Of course, if you’re in Germany, you can also hand in a defective battery personally at our service workshop in Koblenz.

Shimano’s EP8 drive system has a number of advantages. At 2.6 Kg, the magnesium-clad Shimano EP8 motor is one of the lightest full-power motors on the market. It’s also one of the most powerful, with 85 Nm of peak torque that effectively triples your pedaling power and makes punching up steep climbs that much easier.
But perhaps the trait that we find most compelling in the Shimano motor is its actual ride feel. Shimano’s motor has a very smooth and natural feel at the pedals. And when it comes to integration—the switch and display—Shimano makes one of the cleanest and easy-to-operate systems available.
Shimano also has an excellent track record for reliability and truly global customer support.

To remove the battery, simply turn the key to unlock the catch, then pull the lever at the top of the down tube.

It’s impossible to give a definitive answer to this question since the range (on any e-bike) depends on several factors including the temperature outside, your weight, your cadence, how you use the power modes, how much you are climbing, etc.
In our own testing, we found the maximum possible range on the previous-generation Shimano STEPS E8000-equipped bikes was 100 kilometers in “Eco” mode. The new EP8 motor is more efficient than its predecessor, so it’s likely that riders may get even more miles from every charge.

We equip the Torque:ON with a 504-Wh battery, which gives riders plenty of ride time and range while minimizing weight in the chassis and adding to the bike’s playful ride quality.
However, we also know some riders are going to want even more range from their Torque:ON. That’s why both the Torque:ON 8 and 9 are also available as a great value package with an additional battery and cover. A quick switch at the trailhead and you/re ready for more party laps.

It takes about three-and-a-half hours for a full charge. We ship all Endurace:ON and Roadlite:ON bikes with a Fazua Charger.

Neuron:ON models come equipped with either FOX DPS or RockShox Deluxe Select shocks, but they can also be equipped with in-line, air-sprung shocks that have the correct eye-to-eye length and shock stroke.
Proper eye-to-eye length is 190 mm on X-Small and Small frames and 210 mm on Medium, Large, and X-Large frames.
Correct shock stroke is 47.5 mm on X-Small and Small frames, and 50 mm on Medium, Large, and X-Large frames.

We wanted to create a versatile e-MTB that was supremely capable on rough, high-speed stuff, but also agile and playful on jump lines. The Torque:ON does all that while opening up so much more riding to you, since you no longer have to rely on chairlifts or shuttle vans or a superhuman set of lungs to reach the best and highest trails.
-
-
-
We like both 29ers and mullet bikes, but maximizing agility and playfulness was a key priority for this bike and the smaller 27.5 wheels help counteract the unavoidable weight increase associated with larger wheels and ensure the bike is easy to handle.

180mm of front suspension and 175mm of rear suspension.

We fine-tuned the suspension kinematics (including a new rocker design) to give you more useable travel and greater tuning options.

The Torque:ON is actually a bit of both. When we developed the Torque:ON, we focused on creating a playful e-Freeride or e-park bike, but it didn’t take long for us to realize that the Torque:ON performs quite well in “enduro” type ride conditions.

You can charge the battery whether it’s installed or removed from the bike. There is a standard Shimano charging port built into each frame for on-the-bike charging. If you prefer to charge the battery by itself (in cases when you can’t bring your bike within reach of an outlet), you can quickly and easily remove the battery. A Shimano adaptor is required to charge the battery when it’s been detached from the frame.

However, you will find a few older model e-mountain bikes that features the Shimano Steps E8000.

While the Spectral:ON aims to be the kind of do-it-all bike that suits most trail riders, the Torque:ON is made for the most aggressive, thrill-seeking riders. The Spectral:ON excels on everything from mellow trails to enduro-style tracks.
The Torque:ON, on the other hand, asks for even more aggressive trails. This bike doesn’t shy away from advanced enduro riding, but it truly comes into its own on big jump lines and the most technical downhill tracks.

Tyre width is 2.6 inches (front and rear) on all Neuron:ON models.

-
No. We designed the Spectral:ON’s kinematics with the spring curve of an air shock in mind. Moreover, coil shocks are not ideal in designs that use clevis-mount shock extensions and rockers. The forces transferred (in such a design) to the smaller-diameter damper shafts used in coil shocks is quite high and can lead to shock failures. Air-sprung shocks are better suited to this design because they utilize larger-diameter damper shafts that better withstand those forces and thereby increase shock life.

Depending on the model, we deliver our e-MTBs with a 2M or 4M charger. The 2M charges an empty battery to 80% capacity in 4 hours, for the full 100% it takes 7.5 hours. The 4M charger does it in half the time.
