What is a men’s city bike?
Our city bikes for men score highly on adaptability and versatility. Their efficient design ensures a comfortable riding position and allows for the possibility of numerous useful add-ons that enhance the quality of your ride. Whether you’re commuting to the office or dropping your kids at school, a men’s city bike can take you where you want to go.
City bikes are lightweight and feature minimalist frames for agile cycling and urban mobility. You will most likely be riding your city bike among traffic, so the majority of our models are designed with this in mind. With a classic diamond-shaped frame, a horizontal top tube and an upright seating position, these bikes promote a more comfortable, back-friendly ride as you cruise through the city.
Our men’s city e-bikes and Commuter bikes feature racks for carrying luggage and fenders for keeping you clean and dry as you ride. Choose from a range of bike bags, baskets and racks to conveniently transport goods on the go. With low step-through frames available, you can easily mount and dismount, even if your bike is heavily loaded. This makes them perfectly suitable for trips to the supermarket and for running other errands.
Front and rear lights, such as the Supernova Series, are integrated into many of our models and illuminate a path as soon as you start pedalling. Always ensure safe riding and stay visible in traffic even during dark and wet commuting conditions.
Advantages of men’s city bikes
Our city bikes for men have a variety of benefits:
- They are optimally designed for the best positioning while riding, resulting in a smooth and comfortable journey.
- A variety of bike accessories and attachments can be added to men’s city bikes including, bike bags and luggage racks. This offers the rider greater flexibility and better ease of use.
- High-quality components from big brands like Shimano and SRAM add durability to all our models.
- You can achieve great speed with powerful pedalling or sit back and relax into an exceedingly comfortable upright seating position.
- Depending on your needs, you can choose from a wide range of pedal-powered or e-city bikes.
How do men find the right frame size?
To determine the right frame size for you, all you need to do is measure your height and your inseam (the length from the top of your groin to the ground). With this information, you can work out your optimal frame size using our size guides . These can be found on our product pages. Alternatively, our Perfect Positioning System (PPS) can help you find the best men’s city bike frame for your measurements.
What parts and specifications are included in a men’s city bike?
At Canyon, all our men’s city bikes are equipped with a variety of high-performing parts. These components vary between models, but there are numerous specifications that are shared among all our models. For instance, every city bike is fitted with powerful and low-maintenance hydraulic disc brakes that allow for quick and reliable braking.
You also have the option to choose between derailleur gears and hub gears. Due to the casual nature city bikes are often used for, there is not much difference between the two types of gears in terms of function. The only real difference is that hub gears require less maintenance, and you can change gears while standing up. Derailleur gears, meanwhile, are typically cheaper and lighter.
