To make a robust bike you shouldn’t have to sacrifice making a lightweight bike. The Grizl CF SLX employs more advanced materials and layup techniques to create a complete frame weight including paint and small parts of just 950 g – that puts dedicated road platforms to shame.

Flex you need

Teaming up with the internal seatpost clamp our signature S15 VCLS 2.0 posts, with their standout leaf spring construction and floating saddle clamp, ensure consistent saddle tilt and 15% more flex for even better seated comfort.

More modular set-up

The Grizl allows you to customise your setup to how you ride. Be that for bikepacking racing or everyday fooling around you get: A round aluminium bar & stem combo, dropper post compatibility, 160 mm disc standard or up them to 180 mm rotors for more stopping power.

Fender mounts

For year-round Grizlin' fender clearance is guaranteed with a 45 mm tyre setup so you can enjoy the miles even when the weather doesn’t play along.

- In short the Grizl CF SLX is built for maximum speed over rough gravel and the Grizl CF SL is designed for modern gravel bikers looking for a little bit of everything: including regular mixed-terrain rides gravel events and bikepacking. The bikes differ in multiple different ways:
  
  Frame:
  The CF SLX weighs a stunning 950 grams using an advanced carbon layup to keep weight to an absolute minimum with no compromises on durability.
  The CF SL is still light and stiff but weighs a bit more than the SLX due to its less advanced carbon construction.
  
  Wheels:
  In the pursuit of maximum speed the CF SLX has premium aero carbon wheels.
  The CF SL uses aluminium wheels that aren’t quite as light aero or stiff.
  
  Shifting:
  The CF SLX uses top-end groupsets to keep shifting performance at a maximum and weight to an absolute minimum. Electronic shifting options are available.
  The CF SL is fitted with mid-range mechanical groupsets that are reliable more economical to repair and still provide good performance.
- Short answer: the Grizl is most at home on rough gravel thanks to its 45 mm tyres out of the box and ability to even fit mountain bike tyres if you’re riding extremely rough surfaces thanks to a big 50 mm of tyre clearance.
  
  It’s still fast and capable on quicker hard-packed light gravel roads. But on these roads the lighter Grail has an advantage in terms of speed.
  
  And on light semi-technical singletrack the Grizl can still get the job done in the hands of a skilled rider. But it can’t match the capability of a mountain bike with its wide flat handlebar and trail-optimised design across the board.
- Your tyre pressure depends on so many factors – total rider & bike weight what surface you’re riding on what tyres you’re using and more.
  
  If you pump up your tyres too hard you won’t have any grip on loose surfaces.
  
  Likewise if you don’t have enough pressure in your tyres you run the risk of pinch flats the tyre feeling wobbly and bendy when cornering or the rim banging against the ground when you roll over roots.
  
  It might take a bit of trial and error to find your perfect pressure. If you’re experiencing any of the issues above then stop immediately and add or remove a bit of air accordingly. When you’re doing this however never go outside the manufacturer’s recommended tyre pressure range printed on the side of the tyre.
