MACH874: a tribute to the City of Lights
As all eyes turn to Paris, the City of Lights, this summer for the world’s greatest sporting event, we used the speed of light itself as inspiration for this special-edition artwork. Named after light speed – Mach 874,030 – this is the same stunning colourway our athletes will ride this summer on their hunt for gold medal glory on some of the lightest, fastest bikes ever built.
Stay hydrated
All Lux World Cup CFR models have space for mounting two large bottles – even on the smallest bikes in size XS. So you can keep pushing the pace lap after lap.
Impact Protection Unit 2.0
Our latest IPU – short for Impact Protection Unit – is perfectly integrated into the frame at the headset and protects the top tube from over-rotating handlebars in the event of a crash. The system doesn’t affect the bike’s manoeuvrability – you can still turn the bars far enough to nail the tightest switchbacks on the course.
High-end ceramic bearings
The most ambitious athletes need the best parts to give them the best performance. That’s why Lux World Cup CFR bikes are fitted with premium, super long-life CeramicSpeed bearings all over – we use them on the frame, headset, and bottom bracket. They aren’t just lighter, they’re also super-smooth and are especially resistant to corrosion and rust.

Bike classification
This category also covers the requirements of categories 1-2. In addition it includes use on harsher, unpaved terrain. The scope for these bikes includes occasional jumps up to a maximum height of 60 cm. Jumps of this scale can cause inexperienced riders to have accidents on landing, which can result in injury. Hardtail mountain bikes and full-suspension bikes with short travel are included in this category.
